Between the city, the Far North and the remote regions, as long as it’s possible to make the most of life with a capital L, our Vaness answers with a resounding “P-present.” You’ll have guessed it: it’s the days full of happiness and wide-open freedom that guide our Nomad’s decisions.

Unlike most of our other nomads, Vaness, you’re different. You prefer, like us, to stay in the same region for the long haul and switch into 200% mode. Fun fact: that’s exactly why we stopped counting the days of your last/first assignment with us a long time ago. We still remember your very first day, when you hit the road toward the Baie-des-Chaleurs with SOF, telling us your dream of returning to the Gaspésie was coming true. Let us tell you today that, that time, well, for us it was the dream of having you in the family that was coming true.

It’s beautiful to watch you marvel at every season. We can understand why it’s so hard for you to pick a favourite one, when you’re crazy about cozy little knits and the colours of autumn. When you love the buzz and lightness of summer with its warm evenings and starry skies. When you get giddy about the cold, a red nose and winter cross-country ski outings. One thing’s for sure: you’re probably one of the people who champions the “outdoors” of the remote regions in the most completely natural way.

Time flies with you, Vaness. Your joie de vivre spreads as fast as covid. Your drive and your love for life are enviable. Your passion for nature, fire and sunsets is contagious. It’s beautiful and sweet to have watched you set down your ink here, and if the Baie-des-Chaleurs is your anchor point, then you’re our Lighthouse. Thank you for being part of the family.
