Hi, I’m Aymeric, a nurse by training and the founder of Agence Nomade. On January 11, 2019, I set foot in the Magdalen Islands for the very first time. Without knowing it, in that moment, I was setting foot on my X. I couldn’t believe that I was, along with only a handful of other people, one of the few living an adventure like this thanks to my job as a nurse. Taking a plane to get to work, enjoying a seaside sunset on a lunch break, getting to know a place I barely knew before leaving, and meeting wonderful people at my workplace.

And that’s how Agence Nomade came to be!

I’m Émilie, a Nomade nurse. I started my career in the Emergency department at Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus. I spent some wonderful years with the HEJ team, but I quickly began to question myself as a nurse, seriously wondering whether I had made the right career choice! To give you an idea of how much I was second-guessing myself, I quit HEJ twice in 4 months. Confused? A little, yes! Being a full-time Nomade lets me keep a balance between my professional and personal life. If you’re questioning yourself too, if you have fears or doubts, remember there is no one better to understand you than someone who has been through it before you.

With us for a year now, Éloïse has gone from HR coordinator to Director of Operations. Many of you know her because she has supported so many of you. She takes great care of you during your stays in every corner of the province. She’s there to plan your assignment, answer your questions, explain how everything works and the little details of each region, and support you throughout your adventure! A big fan of the outdoors, travel and precious moments with friends, and always up for any kind of activity, it’s hard to find someone who “fits” with us more than Élo.

An administrative assistant for over 10 years and the proud mom of three wonderful little boys as well as a marvellous dog, Whisky, nicknamed grandpa. I’ve been working in healthcare administration for several years now, so I understand the jargon and how things work (your timesheets and schedules are in good hands). What brought me to join the Nomade adventure is its family-oriented, human approach. I wanted a work environment where I would feel right at home!

After more than 10 years working in sales and customer service, I finally decided to change course toward the wonderful world of healthcare which, to be honest, was completely unknown to me until very recently. By pure chance, Éloïse told me about the position (and yes, Éloïse and I worked together in another life!) and it was really the warmth and the values of the company that won me over. Without hesitation, I decided to take the leap. I’m a motivated, open-minded person. I love taking on new challenges and I’m constantly looking to learn and grow. I love good food, music, travelling and doing yoga. Looking forward to meeting you!

Having come straight from France to live in Quebec, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better job. I love discovering the latest spots for a good coffee and going hiking to find the best views. The Nomade family lets me stay in healthcare while living my personal experience to the fullest. I firmly believe in the Agency’s values and I’m delighted to work with this amazing team! The main goal of my role is to support you with your administrative steps from the beginning to the end of your assignment. Settled in the Magdalen Islands for a few years now, you could say I’m a néo-Madelinienne. It’s actually there that I got to meet Aymeric and Émilie, through various mutual friends. When they suggested I join the Nomade adventure, I felt it was the right time to jump in with both feet. After working in the human resources department of several centres in the network, this challenge felt like a breath of fresh air and let me stay connected to the rest of the province while enjoying everything the Islands bring me. I deeply love people, working as a team, and feeling that my work has a real impact on the lives of health professionals. That’s exactly why I chose Nomade, because I believe in the importance of a human-centred service that stays close to people. Know that I already can’t wait to meet you!
